The distinctive feature of the design approach was its ability to blend together total continuity, high efficiency and the possibility of modular growth, in a spatial context that becomes communicative in an absolute, almost philosophical sense.

Installing a Data Center inside a deconsecrated church constitutes a fascinating and unique challenge that requires an innovative approach open to a humanistic vision, linked to man and his relationship with machines.

Business Factory 1 Renovation

The Business Factory 1 building is undergoing both structural renovation and technological and plant upgrading. The use of one of the most cutting-edge technologies will allow expansion of the customer base and the entry of a new major business.

The project is set in a context of Data Centers that operate at high critical levels; the renovation work is being carried out while minimising any interference with the active server rooms and causing no interruption to the work being carried on in BT Italia S.p.A’s offices and Data Center.

Designing a Data Center means transposing in infrastructural terms IT and technological requisites such as physical security, control, redundancy, business continuity and disaster recovery and making them available to customers. In a multi-client Data Center, the needs are not defined a priori, which is why the design guarantees high degrees of freedom in terms of space allocation.

Ids & Unitelm

The Ids & Unitelm Data Center is part of an extensive and complex design process involving several locations. It started, in fact, with the design of a highly technological infrastructure housed inside a deconsecrated church in Padua before finishing up inside the buildings of the Istituto Centrale del Sostentamento del Clero (ICSC) (Central Institute for the Support and Maintenance of the Clergy) in Rome.
