Located Val di Non, in the Trentino Dolomites, Intacture is the first example in Europe of a data center built inside an active mine. The underground digital infrastructure is housed within the dolomite quarry operated by the company Tassullo, marking a paradigm shift for this key sector in the era of digital transformation. 

The project was initiated by Trentino Data Mine, a public-private company led by the University of Trento, and was designed by In-Site, an integrated architecture and engineering firm founded by Pietro Matteo Foglio and specialized in data center design. The completion of the project, funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), is scheduled for the end of 2025.
